ISSUES OF IMPROVING THE SYSTEM OF WORKING WITH YOUTH BELONGING TO SOCIALLY RISK GROUPS: ON THE EXAMPLE OF TASHKENT REGION AND THE CITY OF TASHKENT

Abstract

This article was prepared within the framework of the project “Establishing the Activities of a Legal Clinic to Assist in Solving the Problems of Youth Included in the Social Risk Group,” aimed at ensuring the implementation of the tasks set at the videoconference meeting chaired by the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan on April 11, 2023, “Measures to Increase the Effectiveness of Work in the Field of Youth Policy and Further Improve the System of Working with Them.” In this article, based on the results of a survey conducted among participants aged 16-21 in the city of Tashkent and Tashkent region, the psycho-emotional state, place in society, and psychological needs of young people belonging to the social risk group were analyzed. Within the framework of the study, such indicators of youth as stress, depression, social isolation, misunderstanding, propensity for delinquency, feeling lonely, and the need for psychological assistance were studied in detail. The survey results showed that, despite the fact that the majority of young people are in a socially active environment, a certain part of them have mental distress, lack of recognition, lack of support, and internal tension. In the article, through diagrams and percentage analyses, it is possible to get a clear picture of young people’s activities, family relationships, level of integration with society, empathy, and views on the future. Also, based on the survey results, specific recommendations were given on the effective organization of psychological counseling, an individual approach, preventive measures, and legal education processes in working with youth. This article can be used as a practical guide in working with youth belonging to social risk groups and is an important resource for relevant organizations, educational institutions, and local self-government bodies.
