This article analyzes the theoretical foundations and practical possibilities of using artificial intelligence in the process of combating corruption in investigative and judicial bodies. It is shown that legal discretion in criminal procedural activity increases corruption risks, and artificial intelligence reduces subjectivity in decision-making. The advantages and limitations of “weak” and “strong” models of artificial intelligence, reactive and proactive systems are highlighted from a scientific point of view, and the experience of using systems such as ACE in the investigation process is studied. It is substantiated that the use of artificial intelligence as a fully independent decision-making entity is technically and legally inexpedient. At the same time, AI systems under human control are assessed as a promising mechanism for increasing the transparency and effectiveness of criminal procedure processes.
