STRENGTHENING OF ACADEMIC FREEDOM OF HIGHER EDUCATION INSTITUTIONS AT THE CONSTITUTIONAL LEVEL:NEED AND PROSPECTS

This article scientifically analyzes the reforms in the sphere of education, their organizational and legal bases, as well as increasing attention to higher education on the basis of constitutional reforms. The introduction of a special norm on higher education into the Constitution of the Republic of Uzbekistan and its practical significance are highlighted. Opinions on the prospects of granting academic freedom to higher education institutions, their independence in management and scientific activity have also been expressed.
