Abstract

This article offers an in-depth study of Uzbekistan’s recently ratified constitution, which came into force on May 1, 2023. The Constitution laid the foundation for a more democratic, inclusive, and prosperous Uzbekistan and was an important turning point in the political and legal reforms underway in the country. The constitution, although only recently adopted, has already been praised for its progressive provisions that protect fundamental rights, promote good governance, and foster sustainable development. This article examines the main provisions of the constitution, their potential for change, and how they will have a beneficial impact on Uzbekistan’s future.
