Abstract

This article analyzes the theoretical and methodological foundations of studying the state in the context of globalization, digitalization, and the transformation of the global political and legal space. The study reveals the essence and significance of the principles of objectivity, historicism, systematicity, pluralism, interdisciplinary approach, as well as global interconnectedness, which are of great importance for the scientific cognition of the state. Furthermore, the study examines the impact of modern international relations, digital technologies, transnational processes, and the increasing role of international institutions on state functions and public administration mechanisms. The article scientifically substantiates the necessity of updating and improving the methodology of state research in accordance with modern requirements. Alongside this, global security, cyber threats, environmental issues, and the expansion of international legal cooperation are considered important factors influencing state activities. The authors also substantiate the importance of using innovative approaches and modern scientific methods in studying the state.
