PROBLEMS OF THE CURRENT LEGISLATION ON ACCOUNTABILITY FOR CORRUPTION CRIMES

modern trends lead to a change in social relations between representatives of society. As a result of this, as time passes, the emergence of new types of crimes, changes in the methods of committing them are considered natural. Taking into account this situation, each state will have to improve the criminal legislation and adapt it to the modern requirements. As proof of our opinion, we can say that since the adoption of this code into the current criminal code, more than eighty amendments and additions have been introduced to the present day. But even now there are some problems in the legislation. In particular, to create effective mechanisms aimed at preventing corruption, to study the experience of developed countries in the fight against corruption, and to introduce the most effective of them into legislation, and so on. This article analyzes the problems of the current legislation on liability for corruption crimes, the differences between corruption crimes and other crimes, the difficulties in determining the content of the crime, international documents on this type of crime and the norms established by international standards. In addition, the issues of international standards for the implementation of the legislation were analyzed in order to eliminate the existing problems in the legislation on liability for corruption-related crimes.
