REGIONAL MECHANISMS AND PROCEDURES FOR ENSURING THE RIGHT TO APPLY TO INTERNATIONAL BODIES

This article examines the legal foundations and procedures for submitting applications to human rights bodies of regional organizations. The relevance of the study is determined by the enshrinement of this right in the revised Constitution of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the need to identify differences among the various mechanisms in practice. The aim of the research is to comparatively assess the mandates, admissibility requirements, and effectiveness of pan-regional, subregional, and transregional institutions. Using comparative legal, systemic, and institutional-functional methods, the study highlights the significance of regional mechanisms in ensuring the right to apply to international bodies, their jurisdictional limits, specific characteristics, similarities, and differences. The findings may contribute to improving national legislation governing the organizational and legal framework for exercising the right to apply to international bodies, as well as assessing the prospects for establishing regional human rights protection systems in Asia and Central Asia.
