Tadqiqotning maqsadi patent huquqining tarixiy evolyutsiyasini tahlil qilish, uning zamonaviy huquqiy va iqtisodiy funksiyalarini ochib berish hamda ilg‘or xorijiy tajriba asosida milliy tizimni rivojlantirish bo‘yicha ilmiy asoslangan taklif va tavsiyalar ishlab chiqishdan iborat. Shuningdek, maqolada patent tizimining innovatsiyalarni rag‘batlantirishdagi roli, monopoliyaga oid muammolar, sud amaliyotining ta’siri va normativ-huquqiy tartibga solish masalalari ilmiy asosda yoritilgan.
